Why Lexington Catholic Football?
Started in the early 1990s, Lexington Catholic’s football program not only develops strong athletes, but also builds strong students and citizens. With numerous district, regional, and state titles, our program has consistently been a powerhouse in Lexington and across the state.

Young Knights
(3rd-6th grade)
In the Young Knights Program, we group players into two divisions: 3rd/4th grade and 5th/6th grade. For many participants, this will be their first introduction to tackle football. Our league is entirely in-house, with four teams per division, formed to compete against each other throughout the season. This structure creates a supportive, well-organized environment that encourages skill development and ensures a smooth, natural progression through our football program.

Middle School
(7th-8th grade)
Our Middle School Knights take the next step in their football journey. Players transition from in-house league play to a competitive schedule against area middle-school programs, sharpening technique, football IQ, and game-day discipline. Practices mirror the high-school system, so athletes learn the same playbook, terminology, and standards that await them at Lexington Catholic. Off the field, coaches stress academics, leadership, and service, shaping well-rounded student-athletes ready to excel in the classroom.
